You Cant Choose What Stays and What fades Away (2 1/2 Years of grieving you)
Made up of site specific cyanotypes I use this pieces as snapshots to document a process of transformation and change in identity. I am using the idea of you, as a way to discuss ones loss or how one griefs the loss of themselves. What does it mean to change your gender identity? To transverse from woman to man? There is a loss of ones self, and what does that mean to mourn the loss of that person?
Materials: Aluminum, Bronze, Dichroic film, plexiglass, salt, and 36 site specific cyanotypes
