Since I think a lot about gender and sexuality, I like to make materials function in unconventional ways. Breaking things down and putting them back together. The I-beam is cut and welded back together and stands on its cut end. Activated through touch the I-beam sways and moves but never topples over rendering appearances deceptive.

Dimensions: 3ft x 5in x 5in 

These mirrors are suspended 4 feet from the wall and give the viewer enough room to navigate the precarious space between mirrors. Backing the mirrors with a dichroic film, light, and colors change and shift by the location of where you are standing.

The cyanotype bed is mistaken for indigo. The initial appearance of the Indigo allows for the material to be misrecognized creating a different read of the sculpture. This piece also talks about queer intimates and lost loves.
